Welcome to my website. I've had a personal homepage for over 10 years now. This is where I have put up some of my creations, as well as writing, and articles about things that have interested me over the years. Mainly my site is about videogames, but there are also plenty of pages that are not videogame-related at all. So, look around, and have fun!

Here are the main sections that I update regularly:
And here are some other great pages on my website:

I've updated my (bi?)weekly Famicom magazine article scan project!

11/7/2008

An update???? Really?

Yes, after a well-deserved 1-year break from updating, I've put something new on my front page. Some of you might know that this isn't exactly the truth. I have been working on several projects here and there and even made some pages for them, but by and large, I haven't spent much time doing webpage updating. I'll try to explain why:

Here's what happened: in October 2007, I released my game (below) as well as went on a 1-week vacation to Tokyo with my mother. There, I also met up with an old lady friend... and magically, she happened to be single. We started dating. So then in December, I'm frantically packing my earthly possessions into boxes to move to Tokyo to live closer to her. The move goes well, and we spend almost every weekend together happily. I also spend a lot more time commuting by train to/from work. What this adds up to is that I now have about 1/10 of the free time that I used to have when I was a bachelor in quiet Kitakami, Iwate. So, I've had little time to play games, let alone do a lot of programming.

But anyway, I have:

  • Done some hacking and programming for an old, obscure Japanese game system, the Game Pocket Computer.
  • Started a new little game demo for the PC-Engine: A remake of Downland!
  • Worked on making a cruncher called PuCrunch work in ROM on the PC-Engine. More info about that sometime soon.
  • Used the above PuCrunch to compress Tongueman's Logic so that it'll be small enough to load from PCE-CD. Eventually, I hope to sell Tongueman's Logic as a PCE-Super CD disc.
  • Updated several other PCE demos so that they can boot from ISO. See the Creations page!

Hopefully, I can do updates a lot more often than I have recently. (^_^;)
