1991 Part 2

Here's Famicom Tsushin's little trip to Hong Kong, where they experienced the wonders of game copiers and multicarts!

This is just one of the software pieces for Nintendo's unpopular Famicom Network System.

Here's Ninja Jajamaru looking slightly different from the released version.

Here are some slightly early pics of Rockman 4. Sorry, no desert sphinxes in these shots. You can see that (well, aside from there appearing to be no enemies in the levels) the floor graphics in Ring Man's stage are a little bit different.

Famitsu did a report on American games, and they covered the NES version of Sim City. Even though it looks pretty complete, an 8-bit version of Sim City was never released. This report seems to note that it would have been a US-only release anyway.

Here's an early version of Solstice II (Equinox). It's good to see some actual dungeons in there, although our character looks a little weird, to be sure.

Here is the infamous Space Fantasy Zone, for the PC-Engine CD. It was never released officially, of course, but you can find bootleg versions of this great game on the 'net. What we can see here is an even earlier version. The "Weaponald's" shop is different from later versions, for example.
